By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ClipPilot AI is a web-based tool that uses artificial intelligence to help creators generate viral content ideas, video scripts, hooks, captions, and hashtags. The Service is currently offered free of charge, using free-tier third-party AI models, and is provided for informational and creative assistance purposes only.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, hateful, defamatory, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful.
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent our rate-limiting, security, or abuse-prevention systems.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to send excessive or bulk requests to the Service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying source code of the Service, except where permitted by law.
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or infrastructure.

We reserve the right to restrict or block access to any user who violates these rules, with or without prior notice.

4. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• The prompts and inputs you submit to the Service.
• Reviewing, editing, and fact-checking any AI-generated output before using or publishing it.
• Ensuring your use of the Service and any generated content complies with applicable laws and third-party platform policies, including social media community guidelines.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

ClipPilot AI generates ideas, scripts, hooks, captions, and hashtags using third-party artificial intelligence models. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, repetitive, biased, or unsuitable for your intended purpose.
• We do not guarantee that generated content will be unique, non-infringing, or free from similarity to content produced for other users.
• We are not liable for any consequences arising from your use or publication of AI-generated content, including but not limited to copyright disputes, platform penalties, or reputational harm.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, branding, logo, layout, and underlying code (excluding AI-generated output and open-source components), is the property of ClipPilot AI and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service itself without our prior written permission.

Subject to Section 5 above, you retain ownership of the content you generate using the Service for your own personal or commercial use.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers to function, including AI language model providers (via OpenRouter), hosting infrastructure (Vercel), and rate-limiting infrastructure (Upstash Redis). These providers operate under their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for any interruptions, errors, or issues caused by these third parties.

8. Service Availability

ClipPilot AI is currently provided using free-tier third-party AI models and infrastructure. As a result:

• The Service may occasionally experience downtime, slow response times, or temporary unavailability of AI generation features due to third-party provider limits.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Service.
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including specific tools or features, at any time, with or without notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClipPilot AI and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service, legal requirements, or business practices. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Effective Date."
